If that's true, then explain to me why the great racial diversity among Jews in Israel today. There are black Ethipians Jews, Sephardic Jews, Oriental Jews, semitic (Arab looking Jews), Khazar Jews (Eastern European mixed with Mongolians and Turks converted to Judaism in the ninth century), Nordic European Jews and much more. This clearly shows that modern Judaism is a religion and not a race.
How can anyone observe this racial diversity in Israel today and continue to call modern Jews a race? The ancient Hebrew people were mostly descended from the twelve sons of Jacob, but the modern Jews seem to be a mixture of everything race under the sun. This is a clear observation of the facts that do not seem to fit your statement that "The Jews are a race of people just like the Chinese, Mexicans ect..."
