PT, I don't mind you stating your opinions, but ..
telling me what to do with my investments is going a little too far. There is risk in everything, new Russia, old Russia, new tech, old tech. Investing involves weighing the risks vs. rewards.
LUKOIL is becoming one of the true international oil firms like BP and RD. It has a good start considering that it has more oil reserves than any other oil company. It also has extensive downstream operations.
I am one of those few people that like to hold for a longer period than a day or two. In the final analysis I am betting (with my money) that Russia will survive and that oil is still valuable.
The U.S. is already having slowing economic growth, if oil prices go back up (OPEC, IRAQ), that could be the end of the expansion for the U.S. (IMHO) and the beginning of the upturn for the emerging markets.
