Article talking about CIEN/TLAB delay biz.yahoo.com I agree with the article. There is uncertainty and risk in the near term. But near-term risk is opportunity for a long-term investor. Anyway, as the article points out, the risk that the deal may crater is balanced by the increased probability that another suitor will come in to raise the bid for Ciena. (CSCO right now cannot imagine its good luck. Its stock has weathered the storm and it's looking at an incredibly inexpensive, stranded Ciena being protected by a TLAB that is in a weakened state. TLAB would have no hope in fending off CSCO if CSCO wanted Ciena. It's like two guys wrestling on the floor to grab the gun on the table; CSCO got up on its feet. TLAB is still flat on its back.). Very happy that I increased my Ciena holdings today at 29. Doughboy.
