Sam,
God's word tells us there is life everlasting. How short will the few years we live in this life seem in relation to the rest of eternity. God has in His word shown how He at times has taken a life to spare them from evil that was to come. A Christians belief is that there is life with our God after death. To live is Christ, to die is gain. I and my family find joy in living for the Lord, sharing His word with others and Lord willing to have the courage to suffer for Him if need be. I enjoy the life He has given me each day with a passion, but I live for Him knowing that He has something even better prepared for me when He calls me home. You mentioned Job as though he had been slighted. Hear Job's words in that book chp 13:15 "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him..." Job was considered more righteous than anyone on earth and yet when he comes face to face with God he says "I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes." Do you consider yourself to be of Job's calibre? I don't think I am, because I know that my righteousness compared to God's is as filthy rags as His word says. Yet in His mercy He has loved me and you and provided salvation through Christ that you mock.
John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son....
This is the one that you are mocking....
"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow....." Phil 2:9-10
Sam, pride is the issue. Don't let it destroy you. I am not mocking you here, I am only relying on God's word to contradict what you are saying. He has revealed Himself to me at a time when I didn't need proof. I am dealing with what I accept as reality, not myth in my life and have seen what only God could do. I see now what you are doing to yourself. You will either face Him as judge or saviour, my prayer for you is that it will be the latter.
