Scrapps, I agree that a Zoom is not in their gunsights - ASND has no desire to be in the retail end of the business, certainly not to take on USR or any other competitor. More likely is a technology that's in the early stages of development that'll extend its reach in the areas it is in or wishes to go. Based on Ejabat's earlier remarks I would guess that the WAN or campus markets are the likely directions. An MRV Communications, with its gigaEthernet technology, could complement the NetStar products. When NetStar was purchased he said (in so many words) they would be going after the market where CSCO dominates. That's one reson why I bought MRVC. It wouldn't be the first time I was wrong, of course. MRVC is a good buy on its own merits, however. Dee Jay
