One valuation of gas in the ground in the Us: Questar Acquires Certain Assets from HS Resources HS RESOURCES INC. Sells Certain Oil and Gas Operations Sept. 1, 1998, Questar Corp. (NYSE:STR - news) reported that it completion of the acquisition of HSRTW Inc., a Midcontinent oil and gas operation, from HS Resources Inc. (NYSE:HSE - news), for $155 million in cash. Through the acquisition, STR obtained 150 billion cubic feet equivalent (Bcfe) of proved oil and gas reserves primarily in Oklahoma, as well as in Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana.
