If anybody cares about reasoning: VLSI still has the $7 per share in cold hard CASH on the books. Not to mention the book value of $12. If it goes below 7 they might as well either 1.) shut the doors and return what's left back to the shareholders or 2.) use the cash to buy ALL of the outstanding stock back. Of course they won't get mine until 10 but... At this point I don't care which. We will get what for me is going to be an unprecedented opportunity to see just how smart the market is tomorrow. Never had a company before with the potential to trade below cash on the books.
