Mark - Interesting stuff. However, I am of the opinion that security will increasingly be integrated on a hardware level... with only the customizable features (security management.. access privilages etc) left to software for flexibility reasons... Virus protection aside,... the prospect of wide scale IPsec deployment..., encryption, and cheap and efficient VPN solutions could shake up even big players like NETA. Don't get me wrong.. NETA is in a great position... but to hold onto its lead.. i think the company would be wise to continue making acquisitions to expand the scope of its offerings... else they will, IMO, essentially be relegated to a niche market.... I think they would be wise to start looking for VPN and encryption companies .... software and hardware...

The Cisco's, 3Com's, SUNW's, HP's, MSFT's, INTC's, and others...are in the process of bringing to bear their considerable market strength to enter the security business.... and NETA could benefit greatly if they position the company strategically in this market... or they could get squeezed out.... depending.... the same holds true for smaller companies in the industry....

jsut my $0.02
