are you in Germany or something? UK with German connections. Buying stocks on margin is more of an American thing. But 2 % of GDP sounds substantial. What is the total stock market capitalization as fraction of GDP? If I remember right it is more than 100 %. Difficult to tell what its implications are. Perhaps someone else has studied this?
