Analysts are privileged people

We have a fundamental disagreement here. In terms of the right to know information about a company, I flatly disagree that analysts should be privileged to have any information a company owner is not entitled to have on request.

Have we gotten SO far from the fundamental principles of the free market corporate model that we forget that the SHAREHOLDERS OWN the company and managment works FOR THEM?

True, sometimes it is in the best interests of the shareholders that managment schooze important analysts. I've done it myself, and will do it again. BUT, the analysts should not be given information that the shareholder can't have too.
