ICI will be placing an order next week - Napier News to follow

I spoke to Greg this afternoon - Napier's new IR guy - got straight through to him on his cell phone. Jason will be back on 14 September after his honeymoon.

ICI will be putting in an order early next week to begin stocking their 875+ Canadian stores - as per News. Greg gave an anticipated figure of $500k - $1 million. In any case it's just their first order.

From August 11 News:

"ICI will begin placing orders immediately to stock its Canadian warehouse locations making available products for over 875 independent stockists, Canadian stores and Canadian Consumer outlets. The companies have also agreed to play specific roles in an aggressive education program to enlighten the several thousand marketing and sales representatives within the ICI network."

Greg also said that Napier will be making a statement with regard to the order - as it's material - and that is likely to come mid- to late next week. However, there will be no comment on the post-News share price drop - which is a market driven event.

This will be next (also from April 11 News)

"Formal discussions are underway with ICI for a global marketing arrangement which would provide access for Napier products to over 15,000 stockists worldwide which are currently supplied by ICI Coatings Division."

To follow up from Greg's (in Edmonton) numbers for SV-35:

Specific Gravity is 1.06
Density is 8.85 lbs/gal

The 'SV stuff' is heavier that I had allowed for in my calculations yesterday. A 44 gallon barrel weighs ~390 pounds and there are ~5.7 barrels per tonne (metric ton - 2204 pounds). From Gino's post yesterday (he also sent HSIA an e-mail):

hsia.org

the 1996 US methylene chloride (MC) market was 129,000 tonnes. If Napier and its' licensed partners can grab just 25% in the first twelve months - but maybe higher because of the new regulations that will eventually lead to MC's total demise from the market - then this represents for the US market alone - at least 73,530 barrels!!

[(25%) market share)] x [(129,000) tonnes MC total annual sales)] x [(0.4) SV-35 efficacy factor - what takes 5 barrels of MC only takes 2 of SV-35)] x [(5.7) barrels of SV-35 per tonne] = 73,530 barrels

If SV-35 sells for $800+ per barrel that represents gross sales of at least ~$58.8 million (73,530 barrels x $800 per barrel)!!

In any case the first order from ICI will arrive next week - anticipated to be in the $500k - $1 million range. This is all that's lacking now from the Napier story - sales numbers from a huge client and they'll be here next week.

Greg also told me that sales are developing rapidly and that this is going to be an 'impressive quarter'.

Later,

David.

Ps. Greg says "Hi" to everyone.
