John, I stated in my first post here, and several subsequent ones, that I own Iomega stock (check my Personal Profile). I thought it unnecessary to restate that fact every time I posted. The subject I have been talking about here since the first post is the advantage/disadvantage of the small spinning disk vis-a-vis flash memory for data storage, not a potential solution to program execution data cache.
My interest here has not been to pump Iomega stock while deflating SanDisk stock, but to gather information to decide whether I am on the right track and possibly learn of new investment opportunities. As a part of that, I am guilty of asking people probing questions about flash memory technology and pricing, nothing more. If you find that your investment in SanDisk ("as of today(?)") is not a good one because of my questions/counters, then you should sell it, and I really don't see why you bought it, since I've been posting here several days.
As for "disinformation," I challenge you to find a single statement I have made (excepting the ones which I state clearly are MHO or speculation) which is inaccurate. For instance, I specifically did not state in my last post that the other companies (or Iomega, for that matter) making high-capacity removable drives are making them in a PCMCIA form factor.
As for you, sir, the people I know who went to Mary & Bill (and I have several friends who graduated from there) are certainly more civil than yourself. Did you not have a good experience there? Please point out my "bull squat," for I have not handed out any here that I know of.
BTW, I like my Zip drive, it works well and it has saved me more than once.
BTW(2), IMHO, you are "disinclined to discuss the issue with you [me] further" because you have dug yourself into a hole.
If you doubt that I am a professor, it is easily verifyable (I do not teach at Tech). Don't cast aspersions without some evidence to back them up.
