Oracle gives away thousands of copies of JBuilder to developers at a Microsoft conference. Of course it is the Oracle-branded JDeveloper which is based on JBuilder 1.0. I think this is good for Inprise, particularly if they get some sort of royalty for each copy. Even if they don't, this gets JBuilder in more hands than before. infoworld.com
