David, a couple things I noticed,

1) The 129,000 tonnes of U.S. demand for MC is for the whole MC market, and only 30% is used in paint strippers.

2) On the lighter side, MC is only an ingredient in paint stripper and does not account for the whole weight of stripper being used.

Therefore, 38,700 tonnes of MC were used in paint strippers (in 1996)
And, there was probably about 80,000 tonnes of paint stripper used in the U.S. in 1996.
It is probable **IN MY OPINION*** that Napier will get most of that market, but who knows
Anyway, if they get 10% within 1 year from now ( probable ), then they would need:8,000 tonnes times 5.7 bbl = 45,600 bbl X .4 = 18,240

IF MC BASED paint strippers were 100% MC than the total 1996 U.S. consumption of paint strippers was: 38,700 tonnes.

Any takers?? Al
