First Albany Raises Estimates on InterVoice

NEW YORK, Sep. 02 (Standard & Poor's) - InterVoice (INTV) said it sees
second quarter earnings of $0.29-$0.31 per share on revenues of $33
million.

First Albany raised estimates.

First Albany analyst Herbert Tinger told Standard & Poor's he thinks the
news indicated that the tone of business remains extremely strong. He
said that in its first quarter, the company reported an upside surprise,
but he believes some investors may have thought it was one time event.
Tinger is encouraged to see profitability approaching historical levels.

Tinger currently raised his $0.23 second quarter earnings estimate to
$0.30 and his $0.93 fiscal 1999 (Feb.) estimate to $1.00. He sees $1.15
for fiscal 2000. He expects to upwardly revise his second-half fiscal
1999 and fiscal 2000 estimates following today's conference call.

The First Albany analyst rates the stock a buy and has a $29 six- to
nine-month share price target.

InterVoice, Inc. develops, sells and services call automation systems
under the trade names OneVoice and InterDial. According to the company,
the number of telephone calls requesting information or requiring
operator services that must be handled by businesses, telecommunications
service providers and other organizations has increased dramatically in
recent years.
