My only disagreement with you is on the right of businesses to indiscriminately use the net to grow their business. I still adamantly believe that MY right to decide for myself what comes to my computer overrides all others. If I visit a site, and leave my name and/or my email address, I acquiesce to be one of their future marketing targets. That is why I NEVER enter contests for free computers, free this, free that, etc. I have neither the time, nor inclination to do battle with my inbox every day, though I still have to. The computer has already placed demands on all of us by virtue of its increasing capabilities, and not all of that is good. I don't need someone who cares nothing about me other than as a potential customer, sending me email that I didn't request nor have interest in.
And unlike you, I have NEVER found valuable, ANYTHING that I have received unsolicited in my email inbox. Remember also that there are still some whose ISP charges are still based on the amount of data flowing through their servers to the client.

And of course we can agree to disagree, as we've spoke about privately. That's what mature adults do. Damn, if everyone agreed with everyone else, what a boring place this would be. (Not to mention how much more bandwidth the i-net would have available)<g>

And we probably SHOULD take all this elsewhere anyway, as this isn't the thread to argue rights issues. Unless we're talking stocks rights.
