Tenchusatsu - Re: " What's your opinion on AT&T? "

I have no investment opinion on A T & T - I just don't follow it.

Sometimes, however, I do wish the breakup of AT & T hadn't occurred. I can't see any cost or service/quality improvements in the phone system since that happened.

Re: " And what do you think is a realistic best-case scenario for AMD?"

AMD may get lucky and become marginally profitable. This could happen if they REALLY get good yields on their Fab 25 products BEFORE they become obsolete.

Intel will do its best to make AMD's products obsolete, however, with the new Katmai (KNI) and upcoming 0.18 micron products.

I also figure that AMD will have to sell/close Vantis and get out of the PLD business - they are losing money and market share - and need a major miracle to turn that around.
