David, while I too would be interested in Dan's opinion on NSCP, I'd like to input my opinion on the stock, as i have followed, and invested in it for about 2 years now. I think that NSCP, along with MUEI, may well be the stock with the most upside potential of any stock that I follow. NSCP is currently viewed, and priced, as a loser to MSFT in the browser war. But NSCP has 40-50% of the current browsers. It is true that anyone buying a new computer with WIN 98 will likely use IE as the default browser, and that is problem. But there are two other sides to NSCP: 1. they are very active in helping companies get set up on the internet or intranet, will provide them with a turnkey operation to have a system up and running, and will provide the browser and support for that. and 2., and most important, they are now challenging YHOO, LCOS, SEEK, etc in the search engine war thru their revenue sharing arrangement with XCIT. Additionally, if you compare NSCP's revenue, and revenue per share, they are much more attractively prices than the other search engines. Yes, it is a war out there. I think NSCP will be one of the big winners. I expect the stock to trade between 60 and 80 in 1999. Larry |
