Samsung Electronics halts memory chip production Sep 6-13

SEOUL (AFX-ASIA) - Samsung Electronics Co Ltd said it will halt
production of memory chips on Sep 6-13, to maintain the rise in prices.
It said the production cut will be focussed on 16M DRAMS and 64M DRAMs,
which have seen prices rise to 2 usd and 10, respectively, following
temporary production reductions in June, July and August.
