I listen to the am radio CBS news brief at 11am EST sometimes to catch the market numbers. Today, their tabloid snippet stories included a brief report about Clinton and Yeltsin. The reporter briefly mentioned how Yeltsin, when asked about the future of Russian economy, said something incoherent, and could not sign his name with much ease.

I also sometimes switch to a national public radio station right after to hear the NASDAQ numbers, which are left out on CBS. On this station, the news said Yeltsin did give an answer to the question stated as responded to incoherently by CBS, signing an important arms agreement.

strange versions of the story!
