MEDIA INVITATION - ORENDA AEROSPACE GRAND OPENING

DEBERT, N.S., Sept. 02 /CNW/ - Orenda Aerospace is officially taking
flight in Debert and you are cordially invited to attend the grand opening of
the aircraft engine and development facility. The company, a subsidiary of
Magellan Aerospace, is developing the OE-600 Series, a high-performance
reciprocating engine for use in civil aircraft. This is the first new
high-output piston engine to be certified in more than 40 years. Already more
than 140 orders for these engines have been received from around the world.
The $32.5 million aeronautics project will employ more than 110 Nova Scotians
and create another 325 jobs over the next four years. Orenda President Richard
Neill will be in attendance at the official opening, along with other
dignitaries from the province. A tour of the facility will be provided and
interviews can be arranged.
