Here's a great quote from an article slamming videoconferencing:

Talk cheaper at Intel
news.com

The videoconferencing market is largely split right now between the haves and the haven't-much-interest, analysts said.

The whole videoconferencing industry is stuck at the hurdle of network externalities, a topic I believe has been discussed here once before. Without a compelling productivity proposition to get the tornado started, I expect this whole business to continue to enjoy current (non-existent) levels of prosperity until the price point reaches impulse buy levels (I would guess the $99 point).

P.S. I covered my AMAT short. Hitachi and Mitsubishi's announcements indicate that significant throwing-in of the towel is occurring, setting the stage for the next upcycle?
