I too am playing banks long term. I just bought the 2001 leaps for Chase, which have been irrationally (imgdo) slashed. At some point the gloom scenarios will lift, and the banks will fly again.

It's amazing how Citicorp has changed banking in Japan. They are the only ones with 24-hour ATMs (for totally incomprehensible reasons, the Japanese ATMs close at 7 pm and open at 9 a.m.) They're opening up branches at a blinding rate, and are flooded with yen.
