Yogi,

<<Be careful out there>>

So what I do today? I get on a plane and the hell out of Kuala Lumpur. As I waited in the terminal I tried to use an Amex card to charge a book I was purchasing. It didn't go through and the Malay clerk could not tell me why. I am guessing Amex has shut down ringiit charges until it knows WTF.

So anyway, I catch the plane to Manila. It felt like a break from the craziness in Malaysia and i actually felt a sense of relief.I get in the hotel, connect to the internet to catch the latest news before my dinner appointment and here is what I read:

More U.S. embassies threatened

Philippine and Kuwait facilities the latest to face specific threat

ASSOCIATED PRESS

MANILA, Sept. 2 - The U.S. Embassy in Kuwait said Wednesday an attack was possibly being planned against it, and a note found on a plane warned of a bomb attack on the U.S. mission in the Philippines. Washington has closed some of its diplomatic missions around the world and maximized security at others since the Aug. 7 bombings of its embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, which killed 258 people and injured more than 5,500.

Egad...the bastards are following me.

At least my Amex card works here.

Best,
Stitch
