Regarding Phillip Berber, I believe some folks are dogging him, as you say, is because Phillip is brilliant and has created a great product supported by a great organization. Initially, Cyber had pretty stiff requirements for taking on new clients (which speaks highly of Cyber) and some folks became alienated or offended because they couldn't qualify. Funny, though, because Brown & Company actually brags about being selective.
Also, Phillip is very open and speaks freely of his product and some people (who are mostly envious and jealous) get upset when he tries to promote his service. They don't realize that all brokers promote themselves, some in relatively insidious and subtle ways. Phillip is extremely honest and some cannot handle it. In terms of technology, Cyber is so far ahead of everyone else they sometimes don't believe the claims that are made. What a shame.
Phillip is on the leading edge and, as such, will always attract attention, both positive and negative. Both speak well of his efforts. Maybe he knows more about trading technology than about marketing. But, wouldn't we prefer it that way?
