South Midas, Nevada: Four drill holes wereÿ completedÿ atÿ Southÿ Midasÿ in
August.ÿ Althoughÿ expectedÿ shortly, Blue Desert has not received drill or
assay reports from Romarco, the project operator. However, Romarco has paid
BLMÿ rental payments at the end of August, keeping the 60 claim property in
good standing on behalf of the partners for a furtherÿ 12ÿ months.ÿ Romarco
must expend $1,800,000 to earn a 50 per cent interest in the project.
Snowstorm, Nevada: Recent mapping and prospecting have traced strong silica
alterationÿ andÿ brecciationÿ alongÿ aÿ 4,000ÿ footÿ strike interval of the
Winters Creek fault, a primary gold target on Blue Desert'sÿ 100ÿ perÿ cent
ownedÿ Snowstormÿ project.ÿ Theÿ fault continues southward onto an isolated
40-acre patch of land owned by Barrick Gold. A hotÿ springsÿ silicaÿ sinter
depositÿ occursÿ onÿ the Barrick land. These conditions indicate favourable
conditions for gold to occur deeper within the fault zone. Theÿ companyÿ is
inÿ discussions with Barrick for a further exploration program, following a
site examination which was conducted by Barrick in late August.
