Buying VIP -- BLITZKRIEG, possible SIEGE Well Joe, you are half right, as I have cash and am only half willing to get in <g>. I had a limit order in for VIP at 8 1/8, my very nice broker got it filled at 8. I am mentally prepared to buy under 8. Unless CEO Fabel is a total liar, VIP is in good shape with new subscribers signing up in the early part of August. He feels cash flow is enough to support future growth, even if the capital pool dries up. And I still feel that Rooskies will need cellular phones. And I still feel that VIP has not fully penetrated the 10% of Russians who are noveau riche (about 14 million people), and is just starting to make inroads into the more price consicous middle class (about 20%, my estimate based on what my Russian wife tells me, please take what I say with a grain of salt).
