The exchange stabilization fund is not being used to buy S&P futures. These markets are like sieves. If the government was doing this lots of people would have to know and the info would leak out immediately. I work in these markets and one of the biggest problems we have is no one can keep their mouth's shut. Big positions get found and communicated almost immediately. If the gov't was buying S&P futures it would be all over the nightly news programs.
