Once again, people on this thread are slamming other people instead of commenting directly on their ideas. Whatta shame.

That would be company line #1, anybody who criticizes is a Microsoft hater. Also known as a religious cultist, communist, and various other less seemly appellations. As for Red Herring and the Wendy Goldman Rohm piece, I'm a bit confused, I don't look at Red Herring much but my impression was they were pretty solidly in the Microsoft camp, at least on antitrust matters. I guess that was when they were objective and rational, now they're biased scandal mongers.

But to get back to commenting directly on people's ideas, I still have these two questions hanging out there. Does Windows 98 differ from previous Microsoft products in its copy protection mechanism? And does Excel actually use floating point math by default? These are honest questions, I don't know.

Cheers, Dan.
