Marginal tax rates in Canada leave you with a marginal income.

The main wealth differences right now which are considerable
are:

1. Average salary in US is about 20% higher.
2. Distribution distance is lower and volume so products are
about 25% cheaper in equal value dollars.
3. State taxes are lower than our provincial
4. Local taxes are generally lower in mil rate.
5. Taxes on resale of property are less.
6. There are a lot more high paying jobs..especially in
tech land.
7. Energy (heating and travel) are much lower in cost.
8. Automobiles are cheaper. last longer and have higher resale value. Tax on resale is low or non existent.
9. Food is much lower in cost.
10. Rent in the heartland is lower in cost. (large cities are and the exception)
11. American dollar is 50% higher so all foreign goods are cheaper
to buy.
12. Small business does much better state to state than we do and has
lower transportation and higher volume. Much healthier levels.
13. Regulation in many states is a lot less costly in business.
14. All winter costs are lower in cities besides energy cost. snow
removal, breakage, hindered transportation loss of life..etc..
15. Insurance cost lower on property and vehicles.
16. Communication cost are lower, phone, net, fax, T1 line.
17. Hookers are more reasonable and cops are way easier to bribe.
18. Dope dealers are more plentiful so competition keeps prices down.

and so on...
