To All, So funny I could weep, Department: CNBS announced that they were going to interview a tech/telecom portfolio manager who would identify some "sleepers" in the industry. The guy, a 12 year old from Robs Em and Steals From Em, identified the following sleepers: Cisco, Lucent, Worldcom, and Nortel. Seriously. Man, am I glad I listened to him. I'd never have heard of those names otherwise. -g-

What is super sad as that problem children such as this guy actually believe they are acting like contrarians when they buy the most popular stocks in the world. Of course, it goes a long way toward explaining why Robs and Stealsem's Contrarian Fund turned out to be neither contrarian nor very good, after I, for one, had high hopes for the bowwow. That fund is down -5.3 pct. a year for the past three years. I am a contrarian and we are agin' lots of stuff. Making positive returns on our money, however, is one of the few things we are 'fer. -g-

I guess that sad little firm bouncing between banks was just singing "Waiting For Elijah."
