In 1988,1989,1990 I had some of my best years (after crash and real estate market fall) Though stock market corrections affect luxury business in the longer term, they have little immediate effect. The people who really have a lot of money have a little less. They still spend! If this is a quick downturn and a return up it will have no effect. If it's a long and protracted downturn then it would be troublesome.

You know, 1988 - (early)1990 was the period when we all shook off that (silly little) crash in 1987. It was late 1990 - 1992 that was the period when everything was lousy.

So, what happened then (to luxury buyers)?
