ALl,

Generally the motherboard gets it grounding from the power supply but its still advanategous to ground it to the chassis and have the power supply grounded to the chassis. Everything we build is like this because it eliminates ground potential differences which act likes antennnas for noise. Noise can lead to improper operation and increased bit error rates.
