<<I got a buttload of LBOR>>

Let's see, four quarts to a gallon, 2.471 acres to a hectare, 28.35 grams to an ounce, how many shares to a buttload? Oh, never mind. LBOR down nicely.

As a defensive play for my retirement fund (can't short or do options), I bought ASA yesterday, a gold stock with a healthy .80 dividend, which is a 5.10 yield, as good as a money market. With the dollar in retreat, gold seems like a good play, but the potential downside is the possibility that the russians will begin to unload their gold reserves to get cash. Other potential downside is if the rand devalues, as ASA invests in South African mines. Worth a look, though, it's up over 5 percent today, and appears to be recovering from an 11-year low.
