PLEASANTON, Calif. and SKOKIE, Ill., Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Livingston
Enterprises, Inc. and U.S. Robotics (Nasdaq: USRX) announced today that U.S.
Robotics has extended its software licensing agreement with Livingston for
ComOS(TM), Livingston's remote access operating system software. U.S. Robotics
currently uses code developed by U.S. Robotics based on ComOS in its NETServer

"By building on Livingston's technology and incorporating it as part of
our NETServer products, we've been able to bring our customers one of the most
powerful, flexible remote access feature sets available in the industry," said
Ross Manire, Senior Vice President and General Manager of U.S. Robotics'
Network Systems Division.
Steve Willens, President and CEO of Livingston, stated, "We are very
pleased that U.S. Robotics, the leading supplier of remote access products,
has decided to extend its license of ComOS. We expect this arrangement will
result in a continuation of broad acceptance of ComOS technology in the
market."
Livingston Enterprises, Inc., a privately held corporation located in
Pleasanton, California, markets its PortMaster remote access servers, and its
FireWall IRX(TM) and Office Router products to over 1,700 Internet Service
