This won't happen again, at least not for a decade or so. DARPA, TCP/IP, OSI ... It took about 25 years for all of this Internet stuff to happen overnight. First DARPA pieces together the concepts, then Unix with TCP/IP in the universities, professors crafting and inventing the network protocols (foundations), US government and large corporations (IBM, ATT, DEC,...) together funding most of the research, and now... Andreeson? Is that his name? It is truely amazing. This is no accident. It's a normal progression. If these guys are anywhere close to as good as they look, all we have to do is sit back and enjoy the ride. They're blazing new trails. Every week at NSCP must be like a day in the life of a happy 13 year old (is there such a thing?). The Internet is going through puberty. When it gets old enough to vote, I'll be there and so will NSCP.
I think NSCP will split a few times in the next few years, doubling in value each time. MSFT and NSCP will go down in software history together like Endless Summer surfers, Mike Hinson and Robert August.
