divvie, Yes us enterprise software people are feeling the same way about msft. Everyone wants to hate msft, but you know, in the case of their dbms they hired the right people, paid what it took to get them, and gave them the time and freedom to come out with something good. This in contrast to Oracle who for the longest time put out products filled with bugs in order to gain mkt share and treated the engineering dept like slaves. After witnessing the msft technical mgmt approach to this dbms development, I gained new respect for msft. MH
