Our last two "revenue growth" announcements had no effect on the stock, even though they were quite positive from the perspective of hitting targets. Instead, each announcement is headlined "Winstar's loss widens to $57million in second quarter". So, we may not get much help there. This is a niche stock for niche players. Big boys rotate into and out of telecom and clecs and we get rotated by them. Like jumping out of a plane--don't do it if you throw up when the harness finally hits, and don't be afraid or surprised if you die. I was married to this woman, and as is the story of my--and most men's life--I got burned. Not clear if it can be worked out. There is extreme reaction to every bit of bad news, no matter what god forsaken place it comes from. We have devalued american stocks by probably triple the total russian gdp, evn though actual trade and exposure was inconsequential nationnally. We run in fear when malaysia--malaysia for Christ's sakes--has market problems. We tremble, weep and lose over one percent of the entire market capitalization of american companies because some goddamn steel company in Japan went down the tube. Someone please tell me why IBM and Coke should fall because of bad management in a japanese stell company?? No one could have seen what globalization has done to our markets; it's insane. Totally irrational. So, winstar could easily go to 8, to 18, to 80 or to 180. We do need m&a activity in the industry. Not because we will actually ever get to play--we won't.ouhana will not deal. Period. But, other deals might validate a valuation on us much greter than current market cap. Realize that a 100% premium from today would only get us to about 50% of what Rouhana will even discuss, so it just aint gonna happen. Best we can hope for is rumors start again and we bail on the rumors...So much for "investing". BTW, KO starting to look attractive. Look at its long term appreciation. And i bought wcii?? Too much LSD in college.
