George Bush - rumour from opposing candidate's camp - no other proof (I don't remember this one too well, so I'm only quoting previous posts)

Bill Clinton - admission of affair

Gary Hart - photograph of girl on his lap out on the boat

Cisneros - no idea

Do you see the difference here? Hart dared the press to go after him, so they did. Clinton was being investigated because his Attorney General had felt there was enough evidence of wrongdoing to warrant an Independent Counsel investigation. George Bush was being accused by his political opponents. You can try to say that about Clinton as well, but the decision to investigate was made by Clinton's Attorney General, not by the Republicans.
