<< Bottom line is, GOLD going up has negative repercussions in just about every other area related to world finance and economies.>>

ROFLMAO,

maybe i didn't explain my position clearly. I've been long gold and adding since 1-2-98. World market deterioration has to happen before Gold moves dramatically higher. Hence the statement "negative repercussions in just about every other area......."

I agree we need a "return to sanity and away from virtual markets"
but that is not going to happen til the international markets and the US dollar feel some pain. Quite likely to happen when US banks start to show their exposure to international loans and US consumer debt,
the EU crumbles from Russia, and the Asian crisis flares up again.

Mike

I stand by my statement.
