To All, I had a good telephone conversation with the Nortran folks today. They confirmed that Hoffman-LaRoche has recently accelerated Nortran's arrhythmia program. The results to date have been very good!!! We are confident that Hoffman-LaRoche will exercise its exclusive option sometime in 1999. When that happens, everyone that hasn't been buying at these "boxing day" prices will kick themselves. Look at NRT's chart for the last two years. It's always bounced back from these prices to earn at least a double. One also has to remember that Hoffman-LaRoche upon exercising its option will have to give Nortran a milestone payment of approx. $8 to $12 million Can. Nortran at that point would have over $15 million in the bank, and would have no problem listing on a more senior exchange (TSE or NASDAQ). In the last couple of days I have seen the bids firming up, which is an excellent sign. I just bought another 15,000 shares today in my mother's Self Directed RRSP account. I'm planning to buy another 15,000 in my father's account tomorrow. Thank You to All of the Santa's out there that are selling at these prices. Wisee
