I tend to agree with the previous responses Hubert. Regardless of what Bob posts, if you are indeed concerned about being a target of some insider trading investigation, you shouldn't be asking what the source of the information is. (In a later response, you make the assumption that he is somehow inside.)

I wouldn't be concerned about the S.E.C. considering all members of this forum being implicated as tipees. We all have an interest in MNPI to begin with and all of us may have been contemplating a buy order prior to seeing the tip or indeed may not have read it. Not to mention that we would all be naive to aggressively accumulate stock based on an anonymous tip.

If Bob's info turns out to be bogus, anyone who buys based on it is a schmuck. If it turns out to be accurate whoever buys is a genius, right? Either way it doesn't amount to trading on inside information - We don't know who Bob is! As a previous contributor suggested Hubert - chill.
