hi barb

Did you see the post responding to me from william liao? He indicated the TLAB CEO says deal still on, no tricks.

I expect post labor day rally next week and see TLAB rising based on a successful bounce off the 7400 bottom we put in next week. If the labor report is moderate tomorrow, I think that we could see the Fed easing the Fed Funds rate 25 to 50 bp in Sept meeting. Reason - weaker second half and to help stabilize HK and Latin Amer. Also, good choreography for elections in November.
Forget Russia - our banks have already marked to market to zero.

We need a rate cut to estabish some leadership in the banks. Of course, we'll see some emotional shocks if Clinton is censured or impeached, but I don't see that happening this year - Republican want run against a lame duck - not an incumbent Gore.

BTW, have you heard of Jacob "Bumper" Hornsberger of the Future of Freedom Foundation? I met in Herndon, VA at a FOF seminar and I understand he might have a place on the LP ticket next year.

Ciao,

Daniel

PS.

Bought some Oct 30 Cien calls today.
