Mephistopheles, AKA Mephisto, was a famous literary figure. He only existed in books until a biochemist from another planet created a man who resembled the fictional character.
Like the fictional Mephistopheles, the earthling Mephistopheles had supernatural powers. The Earthling Mephistopheles, who was disguised as an Investment Banker, believed that the pursuit of pleasure or Hedonism was what Earthlings desired. most during their life time.
So Mephistopheles aimed to give his potential victims what they wanted. In return, the Earthling would sign a short contract with Mephistopheles' investment bank, Souls In Trouble, or SIT. The conditions of the contract were very simple. Mephistopheles would grant the Earthling three wishes. If the Earthling remained happy after Mephistopheles granted the Earthling his wishes, the Earthling was free to do whatever he wanted.
Should the earthling stumble, should he discover pain, should he suffer misery or depression after Mephistopheles delivered the three wishes, Mephistopheles would, under the conditions of the contract, send the Earthling to the biochemist.
Fortunately, for Mephistopheles' bank account there were many victims! From his experimental research on Earthlings, the biochemist created many products that made him and Mephistopheles very rich. The biochemist forwarded Mephistopheles share of the profits to Mephistopheles bank, SIT or Souls in Trouble.
Although Mephistopheles discovered that it was easy to find gullible Earthlings, he searched for victims whose stories were of interest to him. He thought he had met such a man earlier today.
It had been a long day though so Mephistopheles thought he would like a glass of wine.
"Searching the cupboards Mephistopheles found what he was looking for. Under the sink , in a bottle whose label had long ago peeled off from the humidity, was that gallon jug of Ernest and Julio Gallo his Uncle Ed had given him for Christmas a year ago. Mephistopheles sneered at the wine. Uncle Ed, SIT's broker, had no taste. So Mephistopheles placed the bottle of Gallo on the kitchen counter, snapped his fingers, and a bottle of 1980 Margaux appeared.
Mephistopheles sipped the wine while he looked over the prospectus that Uncle Ed had created for Mr. Fred Whathisname's donut business. Mephistopheles met with Mr. Fred earlier in the day. Mr. Fred would be a wonderful subject for the biochemist thought Mephistopheles because Mr. Fred was obsessive and compulsive.
Mr. Fred told Mephistopheles he wanted to create a donut business. Mr. Fred's obsession with donuts began after his love affair with a woman named Emily did not work out. Mr. Fred told Mephistopheles that if he could only create a successful donut business, he was sure that Emily would admire him so much that she would love him once again.
After he finished his wine, Mephistopheles picked up a box of truffles that he would send to Uncle Ed via the Bus-Net Express Service.
Mephistopheles left his house and walked towards the bus station.
He saw two strangers on the sidewalk. One, a young woman, wore a pair of red-leather boots that were embroidered with yellow daisies. Very unusual, Mephistopheles thought but the woman's long legs looked very attractive in those boots.
Mephistopheles noticed that a man walked hand-in-hand with the woman. They stopped in front of Mephistopheles. Mephistopheles stepped ahead of them. He heard the woman say, "I wonder what Fred is doing now."
B4 Mephistopheles heard the rest of her conversation he fell to his knees. He could not breathe. Someone, from behind, had attacked him. He could feel a man's fingers around his throat. The man squeezed so hard that Mephistopheles thought he might pass out. The attacker must be the woman's companion. Incredible!!! How could an earthling have as much power as he?
Mephistopheles swayed side to side while he was on his knees. He tried to free himself from the stranger's grasp
Mephistopheles was not aware that the man who was trying to strangle him was Alex, the Arrogant Alien, who also possessed supernatural powers.
Would Alex, the Arrogant Alien, destroy Mephistopheles?
