Tokyo...The guys who play this game say that there just isn't any more stock for market makers to allow for shorting...there is a lot of leveraging on the stock and so the drop in volume..... average volume in the last 2-4 months was around 150,000 - 250,000...today its a mere 38000.....The word out there is that there just isn't any more shares left to buy...and I guess the company knows that.....They apparently got they financial and "support" of Schering Plough to beat their chest on any possible indications of a possible approval...Again, 3 million short position against 6 million float is a prescription for disaster.....Look what happened to BRL a couple days ago...It had a high short interest at the wrong time......then approval came when no one was expecting it......
