A forced apology is no apology at all. It would be too late even if Clinton hadn't committed illegal acts, which he has.

Did you see the Reuter's poll? (They were the most accurate in '96.) Almost two thirds of "likely voters" in the upcoming elections have said as of last week that Clinton should either resign or be impeached. That's before all the recent bad news for Slick and before the Starr report, which is expected to be a blockbuster, connecting all the myriad Clinton scandals into a beautiful scandalabra.

Cokie Roberts just reported on ABC News that the Dem pols expect far worse to come and predicts that they are about to defect in droves.
