Since public school was originally established by the Christians (...) prayer must remain a fundamental right.

Pardon me, once again I'll tromp where I'm not invited.

Okay, so you are asserting that Christians have a right to force organized Christian prayer in public schools. Is that correct? What if a coven of Satan-worshipping witches wanted to pray at school? What about a bunch of Buddhist Monks? Would you deny them? On what grounds?

I beg to differ on constitutional grounds. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the First Amendment prohibits the government from aiding or establishing a religion. You've heard of the concept of separation of church and state? Public schools are just that, public. They are supported by the tax dollars of persons of many religions, not just Christians. Freedom of religion covers all religions, not just yours.

I'll quote Thomas Jefferson:
"I do not believe it is for the interest of religion to invite the civil magistrate to direct its exercises, its discipline, or its doctrines; nor of the religious societies that the general government should be invested with the power of effecting any uniformity of time or matter among them."
