Scumbria, What a scary list of contenders for Intel's Throne you present! In the words of the great comedienne Gilda Radner: " That's so funny, I think that I am going to laugh!" Rise, Transmeta & Metaflow is not hardly out of the "garage state". STM the former SGS- Thompson is nothing but at foundry, ditto for IBM. Why not include LRCX, AMAT, KLAC and the like, as they equally have no role in microprocessor design. As for IDTI they keep making noises as the stock has fallen from above 30 to 4. Maybe insiders are bailing out. Buy some of IDTI's stock and you will get rich if you are right. It is called "put your money where you mouth is." TI sounds good, but when are they going to wake up and kick ass again? They will have a difficult time catching up. After this line-up of contenders I wish I had more money to place on Intel, humble carl
