I too shorted call options on the stock a while back. I kept most of them on, but covered some at the height of pain.

I believe AOL is still tied to the overall market, despite their "questionable accounting" and even more questionable "earnings prospects."

The general public's perception continues to be that AOL is the "blue chip" of the internet, although it boggles my mind that anyone could use blue chip and AOL in the same sentence. As this perception wears off, AOL should gradually decline. But without another test of the DOWs lows and a replay of Monday's panic, I don't believe we will see any rapid erosion of AOL's share price.

However, I do believe that AOL will result in a massive lawsuit before the final chapter is written.

Just my 2 cents.
