What I am trying to get at is some sort of an estimate of the size of the market for ADSL in these areas you are talking about. I agree with you fully about the distributed workforce market. It is large, but how large?

I was not really responding to you directly, but was thinking about Jim W. on the Amati thread talking about how ADSL was hot because of the number of POT lines in the world. What we are getting at here is that the number of ADSL users is better estimated by the number of users one would estimate using the various applications of the technology. How much is the ADSL market for tech early adopters; telemedicine; distributed workforces; I am just trying to break out the potential for each group of applications and this way get a more realistic count on the the '97 and '98 market demand for ADSL; the number of likely ADSL modems deployed count.
